"West Country Quality Meat is a small business rearing free range pigs on our small holding in Somerset as ethically and compassionately as possible focusing first and foremost on the quality of life our pigs have throughout their lives.

During the conception of West Country Quality meat, long before any of our Oxford sandy & black pigs ever came to Glebe farm, it was clear to us, that happy pigs would provide us with outstanding quality pork, and our commitment to Animal Welfare was to be our top priority, this along with using native rare breeds, form the corner stone of everything we do.

In creating West Country Quality Meat, we feel we have created a brand image, that our customers can trust, as well having full confidence that anything pork they are purchase from us came from free range happy pigs outdoor reared for life.

We are so proud of our pigs and the quality of life they lead, that we always extend an invitation to our customers to visit our small holding Glebe Farm, to see our pigs for themselves, and get hands on with them if they wish.

We are so excited that West Country Quality meat, has been awarded this “good pig award” to us it is an award that further demonstrates to both our current and future customers, our commitment in providing our pigs with the best quality of life and welfare possible.

We hope that this award will help us to secure further customers who are after quality pork products from a discerning producer, nationally recognised by such a wonderful organisation as Compassion in World farming.
