“We applied for the award as we feel our customers want to know where their food has come from and the way the animals are being looked after. We retire our cows here and have the utmost welfare concerns for all our herd so wanted to portray that to the customer. By gaining this award we feel it’s really getting our message across and we’re just about to launch the ‘ethical cow company’, whereby customers can help by sponsoring an old granny cow to the end of her days here on the farm.”
