"Animal welfare should be at the heart of any food business as it’s the start of a journey for every recipe, dish we create. The idea that happier farm animals produce higher quality food is not new. We spend our idyllic childhoods surrounded by unspoiled countryside, growing up watching happy cows roaming rolling hills of grass. It made us happy as kids to see these animals with ample room to graze, enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. It seems right and proper that farm animals today, who help us nourish our lives, should be given a comfortable life. This is what farm animal welfare means to Artizian.

Artizian have appointed a CSR ambassador to oversee all aspects of sustainability within our units and working closely with our supply chain to find the best possible quality and sustainable products for our customers.

The immediate benefit is the customer’s awareness, and peace of mind that we are thinking about how our food is treated and cared for before it reaches the kitchen.

We are going on a line by line strategy of full sustainability within our supply chain, from British crops in the field, sustainably fished seafood, and the highest welfare possible from our butchers.

All our sustainable and higher welfare products have our own accredited brand standard logo on our menus."
